Jim Marchant says he’s “still a staunch election denier.” He said he would not have certified the results of the 2020 presidential election.
Marchant supports radical changes to end early voting and restrict mail voting. He wants to wipe out the voter rolls and force every Nevadan to re-register to vote, using biometrics like heartbeats to verify people’s identities.
Marchant is endorsed by Donald Trump. In Marchant’s own words: “President Trump made it clear who he trusts as Secretary of State in Nevada.”
Marchant downplayed the January 6th riots, saying insurrectionists were “wrongly accused.” He admitted to recruiting QAnon-believing candidates who would overturn election results they don’t like.
Marchant supported a total ban on abortion, with no exceptions for rape or incest.
As Secretary of State, Cisco Aguilar has defended our freedom to vote early, by mail, or at a drop box. When Washington demanded your private voter data, he refused — and fought back in court to keep it secure. Cisco Aguilar brings both parties together to defend our freedom to vote. 6
